Pilsner Urquell Tour Path Was Awarded a Prestigious „Certificate of Exellence“ Award from TripAdvisor

The Pilsner Urquell tour path won the prestigious „Certificate of Excellence,“ awarded this year for the third time, thanks to the very positive evaluations of visitors – on average, more than 4 points out of 5.

TripAdvisor.com is the world’s biggest travel portal, based in the U.S.A. and established in 2000. The site makes it possible for users to share independent recommendations for visited tourist destinations, restaurants, hotels and sporting events. More than 200 million travellers visit the site and more than 60 new recommendations appear on the site every day, covering accommodation, restaurants, and shopping services. There are more than 5 million tourist destinations in the database at this time, and more than 200 million visitors use the portal’s information before their vacations every month.

The Pilsner Urquell tour path in the Pilsen brewery offers its visitors the opportunity to get to know the history of the legendary Pilsner Urquell lager, a model to two-thirds of all beers brewed around world. Visitors will see authentic parts of the brewery where the original Pilsen beer has been made since 1842 and will visit the modern bottling plant, which has a capacity of 120,000 bottles per hour, a unique exposition of materials and both the historic and current brewing houses of Pilsner Urquell. In the authentic cellars, the adult visitors will have the chance to taste unpasteurised and unfiltered Pilsen Urquell beer, drafted directly from oak lager barrels. „The visitors may get to know the unique art of cooperage and other original beer brewing crafts, such as malt-making, icing and inn keeping at the famous Pilsner Fest festival at the Pilsen brewery on October 5, 2013. The festival is preceded by a series of Thursday concerts that are part of the summer in Prazdroj,“ said Tomáš Raboch, the head of the department of tourism, inviting visitors to upcoming events.

Plzeňský Prazdroj pays attention to the quality of all its tours in Pilsen, including those of the  Gambrinus Brewery, the Beer Brewing Museum and Pilsen Historic Underground, but it also ensures a high level of tourist services in its other breweries in Velké Popovice and Nošovice.
