The accompanying programme for a non-traditional
art exhibition inspired by beer, “The Fount of Czech Culture” (Prazdroj
ceske kultury) continued with a performance of Jara Cimrman Theatre
(Divadlo Jary Cimrmana).
The “Prazdroj ceske kultury” art exhibition
includes a number of accompanying events. On Saturday 20 September 2003,
the programme continued in the Manes exhibition hall in Prague with a
performance by the members of Divadlo Jary Cimrmana.
The Saturday afternoon with the Czech genius met
with a great interest of the public and attracted an audience of over 300
to the exhibition hall. The people had a unique opportunity to see, free
of charge, a live performance by Zdenek Sverak, Petr Brukner, Vaclav Kotek
and Borivoj Penc. During the afternoon with Jara Cimrman, the audience
enjoyed a sampling of the seminars from the popular theatre plays,
‘Investigation of the Class Book Loss’ (Vysetrovani ztraty tridni knihy),
‘Bobes The Mute’ (Nemy Bobes), ‘Plum’ (Svestka) and ‘Africa, or Czechs
Among Cannibals’ (Afrika aneb Cesi mezi lidozravci).
The exhibition itself is open until 26 September
2003 (except Mondays) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Manes art
gallery, Masarykovo nabrezi 250, Praha 1. Admission is free.
