Christmas at Radegast: employees will be awarded with beer

Beer for employees is one of the most popular benefits, and the current collective agreement with Plzeňský Prazdroj increased the amount on the vouchers that are used for its purchase by 300 Czech crowns ($17.55 US). This year employees got beer in the value of 2.500 Czech crowns ($146.20 US). This Christmas, the company will give its employees additional beer that is not required by the collective agreement.

“The special beer present is to show thanks to employees for work which they did for the most important beer company in the Czech Republic. This new gift was supported by the company management as well as by the union,” says Ivo Kaňák, manager of the Radegast brewery.

During Christmas holidays, the brewery will be quiet, but we have to take care of the hops.
“The Christmas holidays will be a time of tranquility and relaxation for our employees. We will suspend brewing during the holidays. A core crew will take care of the most important activities, such as the power supply. This is necessary for us to be able to resume production without any problems after the holidays. During the holidays, there will be no change in the malt plant, because it is in full production all year round. It is taken care of by shifts consisting of three people. The vast majority of employees will be off during the holidays,” says Ivo Kaňák, manager of the Radegast brewery.
