The World Champion in bartending, Lukáš Svoboda, will give lessons in serving beer from tap at the Prague Food Festival

„The competition provided me with a lot of knowledge and with great experiences about how to best care for our best beer and how to spread around its good name. Thanks to this competition, I was able to open the School for Serving Beer and to oversee numerous restaurants in Prague and how they serve Pilsner Urquell beer in real life, which is the best school. Now I will lend a hand to visitors of the Prague Food Festival who want to find out about the actual competition and want to try out how they would do competing with bartenders,“ stated Lukáš Svoboda.

Any visitor to the Prague Food Festival can enter the bartending competition overseen by Lukáš Svoboda, who will watch over various styles of serving beer and will share his comments and observations. Anybody will be able to learn the practical skill of serving Pilsner beer and will have an opportunity to win the title „Student Bartender Pilsner Urquell Prague Food Festival 2011.“

Each day, two competitions will take place which any interested person can enter, with no limit to the number of participants. The bartenders on site will nominate 20 participants to each final. The winner will receive a 50l keg, the first runner up will get a 30l keg and the second runner up will receive three 5l kegs.

The participants will get help from other successful participants from previous seasons of the Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender competition, which include Mr. Václav Vanya, winner of the national round of Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender 2008, or the finalists from 2010, Miloslav Bělský and Jaroslav Učík.
