Our brands
The Plzeňský Prazdroj brands are an integral part of our national heritage and the Czech beer culture. We brew our beer and malt beverages following the original recipes and, like our ancestors, strive to achieve the highest possible quality standards. Our main aim is to supply drinks that bring pleasure and enjoyment to beer lovers in the Czech Republic and all over the world.
Pilsner Urquell
This legendary pale Pilsen lager has become a legend amongst beers, and has created a completely new category of beer (Pils, Pilsner). Neither the recipe nor the brewing process has changed since it was first made in 1842. The skill of the Pilsen brewers has meant that its quality and flavour have stayed the same, too. This is proven by regular laboratory comparisons, the oldest of which dates back to 1897.
Gambrinus
So that beer tastes and drinks better. That is the mission of the Gambrinus brewery the history of which stretches back to 1869. Its beers are characterized by a refreshing flavour, full-bodied taste, pleasant bitterness and just the right bite. Not only is this traditional Czech brewery very popular among beer lovers, it has also received a series of awards in professional competitions.
Velkopopovický Kozel
Its excellent quality and long and successful history, which dates back to 1874, make Velkopopovický Kozel a highly popular beer in the Czech Republic and the best-selling Czech beer brand worldwide. Beer from the Velké Popovice Brewery regularly wins awards in beer competitions in the Czech Republic and around the world.
Radegast
This, the most popular brand of beer in Moravia and characterised by its bitterness, is brewed in the Nošovice brewery from the highest quality brewing ingredients from Moravia. The first batch was brewed on 3rd December 1970. The brand has a strong and loyal following in Moravia and Silesia, but is also popular with beer lovers all over the Czech Republic. The range includes the pale draught Radegast Original, Genuinely Bitter 12°, hopped three times and with a full-bodied bitter flavour, and the draught Unfiltered full-flavour lager.
Birell
Birell is the bestselling non-alcoholic beer in the Czech Republic. It appeared on the market in 1992. It is made using unique yeasts, which produce the minimum of alcohol and allow Birell beers to go through the same fermentation and secondary fermentation process as classic Czech alcoholic beers. You can enjoy Birell as a classic pale or semi-dark beer, or try the flavoured versions, with Ginger, Pomelo & Grapefruit, Lime & Raspberry and semi-dark lemon-flavoured Birell.
Excelent
When making the Excelent eleven-degree lager the Pilsen brewers use the unique triple-hopping method. The third hopping is carried about the end of the boiling process, when the hopped wort starts to cool. This means that Excelent retains a large quantity of aromatic substances, giving it its refreshing hop aroma and full-bodied flavour.
Frisco
A modern, lightly sparkling alcoholic cider popular mostly with women. Frisco combines a balanced fruity flavour with an alcohol content of 4.5%. Currently, it has two independent series, Core and Cocktails, which create a palette of various tastes thanks to their rich diversity. Thanks to this, the beverage, offered in a stylish 0.33L bottle, is popular at many parties.
Master
True beer specialties, with a pleasant and very specific bitterness. It is the combination of special types of malt that creates their rich flavour and unique, bright colour, living up to the highest expectations of any beer connoisseur. Master can be enjoyed as the semi-dark 13 or the dark 18 variant.
Klasik
Klasik low-gravity pale beer is brewed according to a traditional recipe and available at a favourable price. A more intensive fermentation process gives this drink a less full body, making it seem a light, refreshing beer.
