Our common goal is to supply only safe, high-quality products. To achieve that within the whole food chain it is necessary that both we and our suppliers fully adhere to rules and fulfil our duties imposed by the relevant legislature.

If your supplies come into contact with our products, you can see an overview of selected regulations below. As a supplier to our company, you must ensure that supplies meet these legislative requirements as well as international standards for food safety*. These regulations require the relevant subjects to provide documentation confirming food safety throughout the whole food chain.

* Please be aware that this is not a full list of legal obligations which you have to meet in relation to our products and that this list cannot be considered legal advice from our side. This overview responds to situations which we get into in relation to supplies of products which come into contact with food.

How to proceed?

  1. It is necessary that every product/material is provided with a structured DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY in line with the relevant LEGISLATURE and REQUIREMENTS stated below. (In case of supplying multiple items made of the same material, one Declaration of Conformity is sufficient).

  2. The Declaration of Conformity of the supplied product shall be filled in and signed by an authorized person.

  3. The Declaration of Conformity and further potential documentation proving food safety shall be sent to the address from which you received the order of the given product/material or to the following central address: in pdf format. Always mark the Declaration of Conformity and other documents with your company name.

  4. It is necessary to provide the Declaration prior to the first delivery of the product/material.

  5. The Declarations of Conformity with FDA regulations are not accepted in the EU! That is why you need to submit the Declaration of Conformity of the product/material you supply with EU LEGISLATION and REQUIREMENTS (the ONLY exception are LUBRICANTS registered in NSF – H1).

  6. Should there be a change or an update of the data stated in the provided Declaration of Conformity (e.g. a change in legislation, a change in the product composition, new migration tests carried out, new assessment of the material, etc.), you are obliged to issue a new Declaration of Conformity and send it together with your subsequent delivery to .

What are the other duties related to supplies coming into contact with food?

  1. To promptly inform about changes in contents of supplied material, including the duty to provide new current documentation and a declaration of conformity without delay.

  2. To inform about changes in production (e.g. changes in technological devices, reorganization of production, restructuring, expansion, limitation or termination of production, transfer of production, major reconstruction, serious incidents, …) that could affect the quality of the supplied product/material in terms of food safety without delay.

  3. If necessary, the supplier is obliged to specify storage conditions and the use of the supplied products/material.
